Frequently Asked Questions
+ How do I get started?
Every Spawt begins with your loved ones unique impression. We can provide you with one of our fresh clay Pawkits or work from any other air-dry material you find at your local craft store. We can even work from an ink print or photo of your pet’s paw. You’ll select one of these ‘Impression Source’ options at Checkout. See our video below to learn how to take a great paw impression!
+ My pet is no longer with us. Can I still get a Spawts keepsake?
Yes, our artists can work from an ink print, existing impression or even a photo of your pet’s paw to create a Spawt that uniquely represents your loved one.
+ I already have a Spawts impression. Can I make another Spawts item from it?
Absolutely! We can make a mold of your existing Spawt to be cast into additional keepsakes, or to make any of our mugs, candles and urns.
+ What’s the difference between the Contour Line and Impression Line?
A Contour Spawt features the exact outline of your pet’s paw without any three dimensional qualities. An Impression Spawt includes depth and texture from your pet’s paw being pressed into a material. If we’re working from an ink print or photo of your pet’s paw, we’ll be making a Contour Spawt. If you’re taking an impression in our clay kit or sending us an existing impression to cast, we’ll be making an Impression Spawt. See below for examples of each.
+ What do you mean by ‘variations in colour will occur’?
Our keepsakes feature natural glazes that are reactive, which means they are intended to produce colour variations in the kiln firing. It’s one more way your Spawts keepsake is truly one-of-a-kind!
+ I work at a vet clinic. How can I offer Spawts?
We partner with Veterinary clinics all across North America to offer Spawts. We have the quickest turn around time (two weeks), provide efficient customer service, and fair wholesale pricing. Send an email to info@spawts.com from your company email address to find out more.
